Beibu Gulf Square Beihai

Beibu Gulf square is a comprehensive city center square. Its design takes status quo ante into full consideration and creates a new image of a modernized city square. It composes an unity pattern in space and shape with a prominent center.

unified and coordinated space gradation and nature and artificial work is well blended. The square, having a vivid open and street-like quality, shows an avenue square feature of the subtropics. In the meanwhile, it serves as a city public activity place by reserving and utilizing historical and traditional buildings and pouring into local culture and folk custom.

Beibu Gulf Square Beihai

A sculpture called South Pearl Soul which is novel, unique and bueatiful in design tower aloft on the green Beibu Gulf square reflecting the feature of the pearl city. Three joint white shells, 15 meters high, in which a stainless steel ball is set, open widely in three directions, resembling three pearl shells holding a big bright south pearl which is renowned at home and abroad. Under the shells are three graceful statues pearl, goodness and sea.

Situated in the Beihai Seashore Park, Beihai Submarine World is a big comprehensive museum which exhibits the halobios. It has two districts: A district is the former Aquatic Products Museum which is considered as one of the earliest and largest aquatic products museum together with Qingdao. B district is the biggest submarine sightseeing in the southwestern area of China. There are thousands of coral reef fishes swimming in Submarine World with many coming from the Pacific and Indian Oceans. The most breathtaking performance is of the divers dancing with the shark. Additionally, some artificial things are put in the underwater such as the Ancient City of Incas, the porcelain of the ancient Silk Road on the seabed, and the sunken boats of the Second World War.
