    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am very keen to attend The Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE), being held in Beijing from the June 17-19 2011. I would appreciate you passing this email on to the right person who can help me.

    I would like to research articles on the tourism industry, especially in China, for my travel website and new magazine. I would participate in as many interview opportunities, functions and seminars as possible. I would also like to stay several days after the BITE to explore the various Beijing tourist attractions so that I can write about them as well.

    I would appreciate the assistance you could offer me with my planned visit to Beijing by:
    - providing details of hotels near the exhibition centre and public transport to it. (I will arrange my hotel accommodation and meals.)
    - providing details of tourist attractions that I could visit and write about;
    - contacting the appropriate person at an Airline that flies from Australia to China asking if they could provide a complimentary return economy class flight from Sydney Australia to China. (I do not have any contact details otherwise I would do this myself.) I would pay any airport taxes and fuel surcharges involved, and would write a feature article on the service and comfort of the kind airline providing the air travel, focusing on seating, inflight entertainment, food and beverages etc. I am hoping that they might be able to offer a seat that would otherwise be vacant on the flights.
    - contacting me as soon as possible if you are able to help so that I can arrange my visa.

    I am a travel writer and I have commenced a web site titled “The Holiday and Travel Magazine” to help promote tourism and especially MICE and corporate travel. The web site address is http://theholidayandtravelmagazine.blogspot.com . So far I have written 56 articles on China since my web site commenced at the beginning of this year, and over 1,300 people from around the word have read them.

    I will also publish a new non-profit tourism bi-monthly magazine called “The Holiday and Travel Magazine” (ISSN 1836-3386 from the National Library of Australia). I am aiming for the first inaugural 20 page issue to be launched later this year, with a print run of 8,000 copies. I will deliver these to the homes and business offices of Corporate Travel/Event Managers and Planners, Companies with Incentive Programs, and Tourist Information Centers in The Hunter Region of New South Wales and capital cities in Australia. The magazine and web site articles will concentrate on tourism and MICE opportunities in Australia and overseas and each edition will focus on one Australian capital city and one overseas country.

    In November last year the China National Tourist Office in Sydney invited me to attend the China International Travel Mart in Shanghai as a Fully Hosted travel writer. The 15 articles I wrote about Shanghai, Wuzhen and Hainan Island have been placed on their website (http://www.cnto.org.au/blog/category/2010-china-international-travel-mart/). I am keen to visit Beijing to further explore China..

    I am hoping that you can be of assistance to me to make my attendance and participation in the BITE a reality. With your help I can then write articles focusing on tourism in Beijing and China on the web site and in an upcoming edition of the new magazine. I will feature opportunities for Meetings, Events, Incentives and Luxury Business & Leisure Travel. This will then encourage more Tourists and MICE Professionals from Australia to holiday and conference in Beijing and China.

    Thank you very much for taking the time to read and respond to this letter.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Max Llewelyn
