Day1:Beijing-Chengde (L/D)After picking you up from your hotel, we will take you on a drive for a few hours to the old resort town of Chengde. Upon your arrival, you will be met by a local tour guide and escorted to a local 4 star Hotel. After having a Chinese lunch, you will visit the Summer Resort, built in 1703 to 1792, that served as the second political center of the Qing Imperial Court. After a few hours of sightseeing, you will be brought back to your hotel.

Day2:Chengde-Beijing (B/L)
You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and will first visit the Temple of Universal Peace, built in 1755 to commemorate the Qing Dynasty victory over the Mongolians. Inside there is a huge statue of Avalokiteshvara. After spending some time at the Temple, you will next visit another temple, the Temple of Potaraka Doctrine, built in 1767, which is a smaller replica of the Potala Monastery in Lhasa. After visiting this temple, you will be driven back to your hotel in Beijing.
