Upon your arrival in the city of Huangshan, your local guide will meet you and escort you to Jingdezhen by car (It’s about 200KM from Huangshan to Jingdezhen; normally it will take about 3 hours by car).

Day 2 Jingdezhen

After breakfast, you will visit the Ancient Ceramic Factory, Ceramic Historical Exhibition Area, Hutian Ancient Kiln Site, and the porcelain market.

Jingdezhen is the site of dozens of ancient pottery kilns. Potsherds from these have been unearthed and carefully preserved, thus documenting China’s ancient heritage of pottery and porcelain production. A large exhibition ground just west of the city encompasses an assembly of these kilns and other buildings associated with Jingdezhen pottery and porcelain making and has a museum. It known as the “porcelain city” since the Song dynasty, with a history of 1700 years porcelain-making .

Day 3  Jingdezhen – Huangshan

Jingdezhen Huangshan Tours 2On this day, you will be driven to Yixian County and pay a visit to the ancient villages of Hongcun and Xidi.  You will have traditional local lunch at a local farmer’s house. After lunch you will be driven to Huangshan Mountain, where you will take a cable car to its peak. You will view Brush Pen Peak, tour Lion Peak and Xihai Grand Canyon. In the evening you will enjoy the sunset from the Cloud Dispelling Pavilion.  Stay overnight at the summit.

Xidi and Hongcun were listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 2000. These two villages are the most representative local-style residences in southern Anhui Province. Construction of Xidi Village began during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). So far, it has a history of over 900 years. The village is famed as being the ‘Ming and Qing Dynasty Local Residence Museum’. It has about 124 ancient residences and three ancestral halls, including an archway, Linyun Pavilion, Eastern and Western Gardens, Ruiyu Courtyard, Taoli Garden, Da Fu Grand House and Lvfu Hall. Da Fu is an official title reserved for high ranking government officials in ancient China.

Day 4 Huangshan -Departure

On this day, try to get up early in the morning to catch the Huangshan Mountain’s magnificent sunrise. After breakfast you will go to the top of Huangshan Mountain. You will then take the cable car down to the foot of the mountain, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to the city of Huangshan to visit Tunxi Ancient Street. Enjoy Huizhou style food before you are escorted to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
