
Jiuzhaigou Airport
Jiuzhaigou Airport (official name- Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport) is 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) away to the north of Chuanzhusi Town, which is located in Songbo County of the Aba Autonomous Prefecture.
Jiuzhaigou Airport is 3447.65M above sea level and is the airport with the 3rd highest altitude in the People’s Republic of China, the airport is just 88 kilometers (55 miles) to Jiuzhaigou Valley and 43 kilometers (27 miles) to the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Area.
Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport Opened in 2003 and it the first airport in Aba Zhou, bringing great convenience to travelers and a chance for economic development for the local tourist industry.
Travelers from Chengdu, Kunming and Chongqing can reach Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong directly.
From Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport visitors can then take a shuttle bus to Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong and some of the other local tourist destinations.

Jiuzhaigou Airport Counters
The departure time of the shuttle buses generally runs in accordance with the arrival time of flights. A single fare to Jiuzhaigou Valley is CNY45 per person, with a round-trip ticket costing CNY80 per person.
The distance between Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou is about 128 kilometers. Travelers who join a tour group needn’t worry about transportation between the two scenic areas. For those who travel by themselves, if you come by air, airport buses will bring you first to Huanglong (enough time will be given for you to travel around Huanglong) and then to Jiuzhaigou. The total price is 100 RMB. You may, of course with for even more freedom, in which case you should book a hotel near the park of your choice and enquire at your hotel about local transportation, whether by cab or minibus.
From Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong, you can take a bus heading south to Songpan and Chengdu and get off at Chuanzhusi, and then transfer another bus running east to Pingwu. After a 41-kilometer ride you can get to Huanglong Temple.
Inside the Jiuzhaigou scenic area, tour buses take you to the most popular attractions. You can also walk and hike along park roads.

Is it safe to take a taxi at Jiuzhaigou Airport? I am arriving in late evening and it is my first time in Jiuzhaigou.

I am going to visit Jiuzhaigou in the mid of November 2011,I don’t want to get stuck in the airport. so can I rent or charter a car in advance? Are there plenty of bus/taxi there in the airport to take us to jiuzhaigou?

You may ask a hotel or travel agency in Jiuzhaigou to arrange the taxi in advance, and could share fare with others. Good luck!
