Jiuzhaigou Restaurants

Tourists have feasted their eyes on the wonderful Jiuzhaigou landscape, and they also want to have the opportunity to feast their appetite. There are major Tibetan and Qiang two minorities inhabited in Jiuzhaigou. Local dining features are beef and mutton. Many restaurants or chophouses serve Tibetan food and Qiang food. These places also serve Han cuisine, but they give priority to Sichuan cuisine.

Restaurants and Chophouses in Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve
The main scenic area of Jiuzhaigou is some 80 km long in the form of a letter Y made up of three villages such as Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley and Zechawa Valley. Restaurants or chophouses mainly can be found in Shuzheng Valley.
Nuorilang Tourist Service Center is 300 meters away from Nuorilang Waterfall. Nuorilang Service Center is a cube-shaped building gathering traditional architecture styles and modern building technologies. The rood of the cube is transparent. This center enjoys nice daylighting. Nuorilang Refectory is now the only restaurant inside Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area because of avoiding pollution. It is a cafeteria with comfortable dining ambience. If tourists have brought along with solid food, they can also have it in another dining room of Nuirilang Service Center. There are free seats and tables for them.

Eateries at the Entrance of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area
At the entrance of Jiuzhaigou there is a western-style noshery called Dicos. Dicos serves western hamburger, fried chicken and rice. You can have food in this noshery as prices there are reasonable. Apart from the Dicos, there will be some local eateries and snack booths. These booths provide barbeque, vegetable barbeque and roast whole sheep.

Restaurants and Chophouses outside Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve
Numbers of restaurants and chophouses outside Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area are more than those inside the spots. You will have much more choice to have meals outside the Jiuzhai Valley. There are many eateries in Pengfengcun which is near the entrance of Jiuzhaigou.
Pengfengcun is on the road connect Jiuzhai Airport to Jiuzhaigou entrance. Pengfengcun is 3km northwest of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. This village can be regarded as the busiest Tibetan village in Jiuzhaigou County. It is a place covering less than 1 square kilometers with hotels, restaurants, chophouses, bars, a supermarket, cafes and so on.
Bianbiajie is the most famous street in Zhangzhazhen，Jiuzhaigou. This street is full of shops, stores, bars, cafes, restaurants, chophouses and even a market. Bianbianjie is a riverside street gathering fairyland environment and lively modern elements. Jiuzhaigou Bianbianjie is regarded as the fourth lying follow street in China after Sifangjie of Lijiang, Xijie of Yangshuo and Dali Yangrenjie.
XiaoBu Xiao Chi (little snacks) is the famous eatery of Jiuzhaigou in Bianbianjie. It is about 1 km far from Jiuzhaigou entrance and 200 meters left of Jiutong Hotel. You can taste the famous Sichuan cuisine and Tibetan food in Xiao Bu Xiao Chi for the dishes is delicious. Xiao Bu Xiao Chi gets high reputation in Jiuzhaigou. But, it is a pity; there are often many guests, so you have to wait “in a line”.
