We are 4 people travelling in Xinjiang, end of the tour we will be in Kashgar then we would like to go to Pakistan visa Karakuram highway, I know it is not open in winter, what is the time that it will closed?

I visited Kashgar two years ago and I had very great time there.the uighur people are very hospitable and I had a dinner with local’s house. they offered me their traditional foods such as polo and noodles. great place. I hope to travel again .

I have read post and I found that it is very informative to understand the uighur people’s real history,culture and tradition. I am interested in the uighur people’s handcrafts such as exquisite folk knives， brilliant silk products，ancient ethnical embroiders,flowers-fringed caps.They represent the uighur’s diligence and wisdom.

There is no direct flight or train from Xi’an to Kashgar, you should change your routine at urumqi,you take flight from Xi’an to Urumqi an Urumqi to Kashgar.
