Brief Intro
Connected by the 29-km-long (18 miles) Airport Highway to Nanjing City, Nanjing (Lukou) International Airport enjoys convenient transportation and serves as a key trunk line airport of China. It was built in February, 1995 and put into service on July 1, 1997, with a terminal of 13.2 sq m (16 sq yards), a parking apron of 44.7 sq m (53 sq yards) and a 3,600-meter-long (3,937 yards) runway. As an alternate airport of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, it now offers 85 air routes to over 50 cities, including Hong Kong, Macau, Bangkok, Singapore and Seoul.

Shops: In addition to the five shopping centers in the passenger terminal which provide a comprehensive choice of goods, 15 exclusive shops are distributed on the Arrivals Halls (Level 3) for the sale of such local products as Salted Soup Ducks, Cloud Brocades, Yuhua Tea and Rain Flower Stones (Yuhua Shi), etc. Duty-free shops congregate in the International Restricted Area of the Departures Halls (Level 1), dealing in cigarettes, alcohols, watches, perfumes, leather wares and attires of over 10 world top brands.
Restaurants: Six restaurants and teahouses, which are conveniently located in the Departures Halls, the Arrivals Halls and the Concourses, serve Chinese food, tea, specialty buffet dinners as well as Western food.

Is it safe to take a taxi at Nanjing Airport? I am arriving in late evening and it is my first time in Nanjing.
