With a height of 468 m (1535 ft), the tower is the highest of its kind in Asia and the third tallest building in the world. It is now regarded by the world as the symbol of Shanghai.Seen from afar, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower could be seen as a strand of pearls dropping from the sky down onto green grasslands.
