Shanghai Highlight Day Tour

Shanghai is thought by many to be China”s most prosperous city and it enjoys a commanding position in the middle of China”s eastern coastline and at the mouth of the Yangtze River.

    Tour Itinerary:

Our dedicated local guide will collect you at your hotel in the morning to begin your full day tour. First, you shall visit Pudung New City, Nanjing Road, the Temple of City Patron and the Shanghai Oriental TV Tower (you should pay your own expense if you want to go up the tower), the tower is located in the centre of the Lujiazui area, with its old European style buildings, and it soars above the city at a mighty 470 meters above the ground. It is the tallest TV tower in China, and only 2 others are taller in the world. In the afternoon, you will visit the Childrens Palace and will enjoy an hour long cruise on Huangpu River, then transfer to your hotel.

    Nanjing Road

Shanghai is also one of the centers of China’s fashion industry, and Nanjing Road is the center of fashion in Shanghai. The 3.5 mile long street is one of the busiest shopping streets in Shanghai, and indeed all of China. Once a British Concession and thus a center for imports, Nanjing Road today is a great place to shop for both low and high end imports and exports, in short all things fashion.
The eastern end of Nanjing Road is a pedestrian zone. Big names like Mont Blanc, Tiffany and Dunhill all have stores on Nanjing Road, but smaller stores do very well there too. Of the 600 plus businesses on Nanjing Road a majority are western, but the street is known for being on the cutting edge of upcoming trends so local designers do well there too.

    Pudong

Pudong was nothing but the ‘real suburbs’ twenty years ago, now it’s a new city on the east side of the Huangpu River. More and more large international companies have their offices, R&D centers or factories here, more international schools come to this area to welcome more expatriate families.
Pudong means spacious space, rich greenery and fresh air. It’s easy to travel to Downtown through the bridges, tunnels and Metro lines, large supermarkets and a good number of restaurants and bars make daily life quite convenient, but the real activity life is still in Downtown.
The particular expatriate housing locations are scattered in spacious Pudong, the wide roads in Pudong make the farthest location still within 30-40 minutes driving distance to the city. Generally by neighborhood as below.
