I will be in Shanghai early July for four days and this will be my first visit to the city. I am staying at The Jinjiang Hotel Shanghai and would like suggestions on getting to hotel from Pudong International Airport. I would like to take the Maglev.
Also, as this is my first stay in Shanghai– I would be grateful for tips on what I should visit, where I should eat, what unique things to purchase, and also what I should look out for.

We are on a 11 day tour starting Beijing and finishing in Shanghai. I know Beijing very well, and I need advice for Shanghai. The tour includes visit to Shanghai Bund, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Wax Museum,, Nanjing Road. In the evening Shanghai Acrobatic Show and later visit Xin Tian Di entertainment district.Are we missing something?

I will be arriving Shanghai in July, along with my 9 years old son, for 9 days self organized tour. What will be the weather like in Shanghai in July ?
Are there a lot of people who smokes there ? how about places like shopping center and restaurants ?
Really appreciate current feedbacks as my son and myself is very sensitive to cigarette smokes.

My father and I are looking to spend 10 days or so in Shanghai in October 2011. Someone says it is too long, is that so? Are there plenty things do and see in Shanghai? Any recommendations for good hotels four star property near the Nanjing road ?

My family and I are planning to travel Shanghai on the October holiday,especial the Shanghai Wild Animal Park,Shanghai Museum and Grand Theatre Shanghai.Is it best time to visit these places,is it crowded? To tell the truth , I hate to be crowded.

I am Xi’an now and I am going to go Shanghai after that, I have only three days on my hand and I know that Shanghai has many travel attractions than other city in China .So do you think is it enough to visit all travel attractions or should I make another plan? Thanks.

Hi! Christine, there are two airports in Shanghai, the nearest one is Hongqiao International Airport is situated in the western outskirts of Shanghai, about 13 kilometers (about 8 miles) from downtown area.i will recommend the Howard Johnson All Suites Hotel, Shanghai.it is surrounded with Jiang Su Road Metro station, Shanghai Film Art Center.
