
Xining Airport
Xining Caojiabao Airport is an airport in Xining, Qinghai province, People’s Republic of China (IATA: XNN, ICAO: ZLXN). It is located 29 kilometres (18 mi) east of downtown Xining and began operation on 25 May 1999. Although the largest airport in the province of Qinghai, Caojiabao airport is still a relatively minimal airport.

Built in 1991, Xining Caojiabao Airport is a very important transitional center in Qinghai Province as well as in the Northwest of China. The runway of this airport is about 3,000 meters (about 1.9 miles) and 60 meters (about 66 yards) wide. TU-154, MD-82, B-737 and other big-sized and middle-sized airplanes can be accepted here.
Untill now, airlines traveling to Beijing, Guangzhou, Xian, Shanghai, Wuhan, Lanzhou, etc. have been opened.

Is it safe to take a taxi at Xining Airport? I am arriving in late evening and it is my first time in Xining.

We are from France and we are going to travel Xining on the 30 th of September, is there a direct flight from France to Xining? thank you so much for your information.

There is no direct flight from France to Xining,you can take flight to Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou, then tranfer these cities to Xining.
