The Xuedou Mountain historic site in Xikou becomes a popular tourist spot and national-level scenic resort and historic site with a good reputation at home and abroad, not only because it is the hometown of Jiang Jieshi and his sons, historical figures in modern times, but also because it has graceful sceneries and many historic sites.
Xikou Town
It is the hometown of Jiang Jieshi, an ancient town in the mountain area which has been established for more than one thousand years. It is surrounded by mountains on four sides. The three-mile long street runs across from the east to the west along the Dan River.
The Xuedou Mountain, which enjoys a reputation as “the first mountain in Siming”, is located in the east edge of the Siming Mountain and is more than 600 meters above the sea level. It has graceful mountain ridges, majestic and exotic rock gully, colorful waterfall, and deep and quiet forest spring.
Ningbo attractionsThe milky peak on the mountain has a shape of sinus and therefore is called snow sinus.
Among the natural and human landscapes, such as Rushan Pavilion, Imperial Book Pavilion, Hanzhu Forest, Jinjing Pond and Xiangliang Hillock, the Xuedou Temple, Miaogao Platform and Qiangzhang Rock Waterfall are especially remarkable.
