Zhengzhou Shopping

Zhengzhou, with advantaged location, convenient traffics and abundant resources, is regarded as “Business City in Central Plains”, and is very likely to be developed into nationwide business center.

Zhengzhou’s area is not very large but it is covered with 13 shopping centers of over 40,000 m2, located on Erqi Road, Zhengbian Road and Huanyuan Road, which include: Hualian shopping mall, Huaqiaoyouyi shopping plaza, Zhengzhou department store, Zijingshan department store and Dennis Shopping Mall. Commercial City Building
It is a large modern comprehensive commercial building of multifunction, with a total area of 22,000m2. The main building has 10 stories. There are 12 malls scattered on the underground floor, and the 1st to the 4th floors, selling furniture, articles for daily use, textiles, handicrafts, etc., totaling over 30,000 varieties of commodities. Asia Plaza

With a business area of 12,000 m2, it shows a pure and fresh style of the south of the Yangtze River. Liu Hulan Non-staple Food Building

It is a large comprehensive non staple food store, selling nearly 4,000 varieties of commodities of over 20 categories, such as sugar, cigarettes, wine, tea, Chinese and Western cakes, preserved fruit, pickles, seasonings, frozen food and fresh marine products. It integrates production, retail and wholesale.

Zhengzhou Department Store

Zhengzhou Department Store sells over 25,000 varieties of commodities. After it was enlarged, it has a total area of 46,000m2, 98m high. With a central garden, a scene-viewing elevator, and a revolving recreational hall, it is an ideal modern shopping center.

Hualian Commercial Building

As a chain store of the national Hualian Group, it has a business area of 15,800 sq m. In the building there are 11 malls, selling textiles, garments, shoes and hats, articles for daily use, furniture, telecommunications equipment, in addition to hotels, teahouses and recreational equipment.

It is the largest comprehensive state-owned shopping center selling commodities at wholesale and retail. In the Commercial Building, there are seven stories, selling telecommunications equipment, articles for daily use, shoes and hats, knit wear and textiles, clocks and watches, garments, furniture, automobile accessories, etc.

Zijingshan Department Store

It sells more than 20,000 kind of commodities, such as articles for daily use, arts and crafts, cultural articles, musical instruments, medical apparatus and instruments, cigarettes, wine, food, shoes, hats, garments, gold and silver ornaments, etc. To turn it-self into a modern plaza, the store has constructed a 21story comprehensive building, 98.6m high, and an underground parking lot, with an area of 1,300 m2.

Shopping streets

Erqi Road
On this road, from Erqi Town in the south to Xintong Bridge, there are a great number of stores selling brand commodities. Coffee bars and other west snack bars, where tourists can have their feet a rest, are spotted among those various brand shops.

Business Pedestrian Street on Dehua Street

This business street, the only real foot street, has a long-history, but without suitable plan, giving people an untidy impression.

Jiankang Road

This street is called “Classic Shop Street”, where new fashion styles and reasonable price are available. Sports equipment and clothes are concentrated at its north.

In addition, there are several business streets under construction at present in Zhengzhou, such as pedestrian street of Dongxi Avenue and Guanhutun pedestrian street.

Zhengzhou Handicrafts

Ink-stone made of mud of Yellow River

Luoyang Bronze Ware
The researchers of the Luoyang Arts and Crafts Company have created new techniques. The representative works include “A Galloping Horse on a Flying Swallow”, and “Rhinoceros”. When its products were displayed at the exhibition in New York, they were spoken highly by visitors.

Ru Porcelain

As one of the five famous varieties of porcelain in the Song Dynasty, Ru porcelain is produced in Ruzhou. The imitations of ancient porcelain ware by the Ru Porcelain Factory of Linru County have been well received at the domestic and international markets due to their high quality and bright colors.

Tang Tricolor

Produced in Luoyang, tri-colored glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty has a history of over 1,300 years, with red, green and yellow colors, displaying the unique style of the pottery arts of the Tang Dynasty.

Luoyang Palace Lanterns

Luoyang palace lanterns first appeared in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220). At the beginning they were only hung in the imperial palace, and later such lanterns were widely spread among people. The red gauze round lantern is the most famous because of its beautiful shape, and exquisite calligraphy and painting, suiting both refined and popular tastes. They are used as auspicious ornaments.

Guan Porcelain
